Lunar Eclipse
A ceiling where the sky should be,
bright lights and hospital truths.
Outside, a breath
from the rivermouth of hope,
monochrome gardens
longing for sunlight.
The moon in eclipse.
Now orange, juicy among the stars
and seascape sounds,
binocular and tentative as tides
whose tables and chairs float
in the dream flow
where we sit and watch,
snap, whirr, and blink, happy
in what’s left of moonlight.
